Menopause
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH): Increases as ovarian function declines during menopause. High FSH levels can signal the onset of menopause or perimenopause.
Luteinizing Hormone (LH): Works with FSH to regulate the menstrual cycle. Elevated LH levels are common during menopause and signal the end of ovulation.
Oestradiol: A form of estrogen that declines during menopause. Low oestradiol levels are a key indicator of menopause, leading to symptoms like hot flashes, mood changes and vaginal dryness.
Free Thyroxine (FT4): A thyroid hormone that regulates metabolism. Thyroid imbalances during menopause can mimic symptoms of menopause, like fatigue and weight gain.
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Helps regulate thyroid function. Elevated TSH levels may suggest hypothyroidism, which can cause menopause-like symptoms such as fatigue and mood swings.
